For my current class I had to make a website for one of my assignments this week. I made a gardening site with some of my photos. I hope you like it! It was fun to do!

What beautiful photos! I love that Jamaican hummingbird--and the red impatiens is just stunning.

I had impatiens on my balcony one summer, in a couple of long narrow planters. They did stupendously all summer long, with never a problem.

Is your Website eventually going to have the other seasons represented?

I'm really glad you posted this. It's a very chilly, gray day here, with the leaves mostly off the trees, and on a day like that, a person needs cheering up. Photos of bright flowers are very cheering.

Thanks Agate,

I'm glad you liked it. I will add the other seasons. This was done quickly for my class this week, LOL.

I have to take some more autumn photos and winter interest shots too. I have thousands on my computer too, and just have to wade through them all. I also have many more I can scan in. We have a maple tree that usually turns bright red in October but not this year... I hope I can find a picture of that. Our yard is not that big, but I've planted lots of different things throughout.

I'll try to keep it cheerful with bright colors, it always cheers me up to be outdoors, especially working in the garden when it isn't too hot.

They also have peacocks in Jamaica, but I only saw a picture, not the real thing. I would like to live there in Montego Bay in a villa at the ocean's edge for about a month just to take pictures and sip rum on the beach. icon_smile

I couldn't believe it when I saw that hummingbird, I got several shots of him, he was really beautiful. They are actually called Doctorbirds though, but he has the body shape, size and movements of a hummingbird, except for the long tail feathers, which slow him down just slightly, but give him a dramatic look.

Kathy, please don't feel you have to keep the photos cheerful! We can take it here! Bring on your weeping willows...

Ha! I had a weeping willow, and it mysteriously wilted and died! I should have a section on my garden mishaps too, that would be a big section.... geek

Thanks Matt! I can't wait for springtime, we've had record low temperatures the past couple of weeks. It will be good to get outside with my plants. sunny

It won't be long now, maybe.

I used to live in northern Illinois (Chicago). Sometimes it seemed as if spring lasted only a couple of days!

You're not missing anything this winter Agate. We've had several days of negative 26 degree wind chill factor days in the past week or so. pale

Last year we had a nice long spring, I hope that happens again this year. :)

I hope so, too! Everyone who gardens deserves a nice long spring.

I've been noticing that the weather there hasn't been exactly balmy lately. I check it daily because I still know a few people who are chilling there.
