She is soooo cute!

My daughter just about hyper-ventilated when I showed her - my daughter is very much a cat person.

I'm not sure what host are using to keep your photo's (I use photobucket), but I think you might have to pick up on the "IMG" field rather then the "URL" field . . .

(No these aren't my cats . . . just cute pics.)

This is Phoebe again, back in March 2005. Sorry about the cluttered look of her surroundings!

Thanks, Cherie. Looks as if PhotoBucket is much faster and easier to deal with than the other couple of places I was trying.

This is a new guy in our neighborhood. I thought he was an American Goldfinch passing through....

Anyway (can't seem to get the picture in here) ... after inspecting my photographs of him, I find that he is not a goldfinch. The poor little guy!!

I was guessing it was a parakeet. Is that really right?

ewizabeth, are you using the [img][/img] tags? They're in the upper right, just above the message window. If they enclose the URL for your photo, the photo should come up on the screen.

Are you a pet?

WAAAA!!! I have no pets. Between my allergies, work and the fisher cat stalking the neighborhood pets, it's just not in the cards right now. But I love cats and I love the photos.

Agate - she looks like a soft, purring type of kitty.

One - I always had a short-haired black cat, and sometimes a tabby, too. I think black cats are simply beautiful. A friend had a Maine coon cat - he loved that cat! Said he was twice as smart as his dog.

Lolo, most of my cats over the years have been calico or tortoiseshell. I'm partial to them but I'm not sure why!

Pat, how nice to see a photo of you! It's a funny thing about photos and Internet people--When I looked at the photos on another MS board,* years after I'd started reading the posts, I began associating the person's posts with the photo of that person, and it made the person more human, easier to understand.

No Pets either, I have had them though. Dogs, cats, horse, ducks, pigs and chickens. Yes the were all pets, outdoor pets but pets all the same. We lived on a small farm and boys had to make pets of all the animals!

Love the pics and cool to see those of the human variety too!

Agate I have to agree, when you see someones picture they are no longer just words on a page! I guess they never really are just words, but it is much easier to see them as a friend.

We have two cats, Cosmos and Poochie. Poochie is a "conflicted" male. (Also a dog, Sable.)

Up for consideration for addition to the menagerie, a 50 lb. teenage tortoise someone in our town is selling. Seeks out human contact, is not housebroken but is "very regular."

We really can't afford it, though...not just the purchase price, but can you imagine how much lettuce a 50 lb. tortoise goes through?

I am debating on taking in another kitty, 4 weeks old, someone found it, it has an eye missing. If it's a boy I could put a patch over it's eye and call it Captian Jack Sparrow. yum, yum.

Pat, I hope you can keep the kitten even though 4 weeks old is really young.

The cat I had before this one was only about 7 weeks old when I got her, and the vet said that was too young for her to be separated from her mother.

She lived to be nearly 13 though, in spite of a lot of health problems over the years, and she was a very nice pet.

Agate, this kitty was found on the side of a road, it doesn't have a mother to take care of it, and poor thing only has one eye, they don't know what happened to it. Her husband is allergic to cats. I'll find out more today, most likely I will have a new cat by tomorrow.

Oh no, I am becoming the cat lady.

People often just dump kittens and puppies out of their cars when they don't want them. Animal welfare organizations are trying to put a stop to this cruelty but it's really difficult.

It sounds as if that might have happened to this kitten. At least there are a few good-hearted people around who sometimes can and will open up their home to an abandoned animal.

--Yeah, Pat, I'm in danger of becoming one of those cat ladies too. The building I live in makes it almost impossible for a tenant to have more than one pet, or I'd probably end up with as many cats as the place would hold...

Well we found out it isn't 4 weeks, this person didn't know much about kittens I guess. Anyway she turned it into a rescue center, Tessa, (my youngest almost 22) called the place and it is about 7 weeks, female, and black and white. They already have it fixed (spayed) and took care of removing the rest of it's eye, and it's shots. They want Tessa to pick it up on Monday, FREE, no charge for what they did. Cool!

So I guess Jack is out of the question, I'll wait to get to know her and see what her name should be.

She is really a snuggle bug. sunny I was at the local animal shelter yesterday looking at the cats for adoption. I'm on the fence about whether or not to adopt again. My allergies are not bad now, but I miss having a cat so bad. I saw some really cute calicos and torties. Phoebe really is a princess, she's so cute.

Just think--some kitty might go without a home unless you adopt it!

I see homeless kitties around on the street and under cars all the time. They look so sad and miserable that it's heartbreaking.

I hope you decide to get a kitty.
