THE NEW INSURANCE MARKETPLACE AND MS - Live Webinar
Date: November 19th, 2013
Time: 8:00 - 9:00 PM ET
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has brought about historic changes in healthcare reform, enabling many with multiple sclerosis (MS) to access healthcare services and prescription medication for the first time.
However, the complexities and costs of managing MS make it challenging to fully understand and navigate through the new Marketplace exchanges. Recognizing the need to help lessen confusion, MSAA is pleased to present this live webinar on the ACA and MS.
Join ACA expert Kent Rogers and MSAA Client Services Manager Margaret Weisser as they provide an understandable explanation of the new insurance Marketplace and its specific impact on your MS healthcare needs.
This program will cover:
~Common insurance terms which are important for coverage selection
~Key provisions in the ACA which benefit the MS community
~How to enroll in the new Marketplace, and the expansion of Medicaid coverage
~Critical issues that affect the MS community (access to medication, step-therapy pitfalls, MRI and durable medical equipment co-insurance costs, etc.)
As part of the live webinar, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the presenters and listen to their feedback.
Be prepared for ACA.
This program is made possible through unrestricted educational grants from Biogen Idec; Genentech; Genzyme, a Sanofi Company; and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
*Important:
If you have Medicare, you are not eligible to apply for private insurance through the ACA. For more on Medicare benefits, please visit http://mymsaa.org/about-ms/aca
