This webinar will discuss changes that can occur in physical, cognitive and psychological functions as the MS population ages.
Meeting Description:
The population of those 65 years or older is expected to rise, including the population of older individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Health issues that people experience during their senior years, such as changes in energy, fatigue, or sleeping patterns, can also be affected by MS.
Join Gail Hartley, Registered Nurse, and Terry DiLorenzo, Psychologist, as they discuss changes that can occur in physical, cognitive and psychological functions as the MS population ages. This Can Do MS webinar will also talk about recognizing changes in functions, strategies to help with the changes and planning for future needs.
There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation with our panel of experts.

Bladder & Bowel Issues: To Pee or Not to Pee

This webinar will discuss normal bladder and bowel function and how they both can be affected by MS.
Urination is a very complex process that can be affected by many things including the nerve issues from Multiple Sclerosis. Join Dr. Susan Kalota, Urology, who will discuss normal bladder function and how it can be affected by MS. Dr. Kalota will also discuss the impact it can have on those living with MS and what can be done to evaluate it and treat it. This webinar will also discuss the impact MS can have on bowel function and what can be done to address this issue as well.

This webinar will discuss how to identify cognitive challenge, whom to contact, and what types of treatments and strategies are available to help manage the challenges.
Individuals living with multiple sclerosis may experience difficulty with both communication and thinking skills. Problems with speaking clearly or loudly enough, and finding specific words to express thoughts may occur. Focusing attention, understanding and remembering information heard, and making decisions may also interfere with daily life and relationships.
This webinar with Speech and Language Pathologists Janet DeClark and Pamela Miller discusses how to identify these signs, whom to contact, and what types of treatments and strategies are available to help manage the challenges.
