The MSAA (Multiple Sclerosis Association of America) has an MRI Institute program so that patients with MS who lack adequate health insurance can receive MRIs as needed.
In 2010 the MRI Institute will be able to serve an additional 300 new clients. If you think you may be eligible and haven't had assistance through the MSAA for an MRI in the past two years, you can call the MRI Institute at (800) 532-7667, extension 120 or send an email to MRIInstitute@msassociation.org.
You can find out more here. |

From the Rocky Mountain MS Center eNews, February 13, 2013--updated information on this program:
Quote: |
The MRI Institute and the MRI Diagnostic Fund
are programs sponsored by the Multiple Sclerosis Association of
America (MSAA.) They help people who are low-to-moderate income pay for both diagnostic and follow-up physician-requested MRIs. If someone who meets the income qualifications has
insurance, the Institute can assist with deductibles and co-pays. If someone has no insurance, they can provide partial to full
payment for an MRI.
They will also provide advocacy for anyone,
regardless of income status, whose insurance company is reluctant to pay for the procedure.
It is essential that you contact the MSAA
before scheduling a procedure. More information is available online at http://www.msassociation.org/programs. You can also call them at (800) 532-7667. |
