|
|
The evidence is mounting that using any kind of cell phone while driving is really dangerous. There's an article on CNN.com that is important to read even if you don't drive or don't use a cell phone.
It seems that 80 percent of drivers [in the US] admit to talking on their cell phones while driving.
I don't know what makes people think they absolutely have to be available by phone at every minute. Callers have a way of calling back if they don't get you the first time.
Since this is a rant, I'm putting it in the Fight Club section. |

I am probably one of the last standing humans to get a cell phone. Actually, it is just a hand-me-down from my daughter, and I use pay-as-you-go. Shows how often I use it......
I didn't think I could ever drive and talk, as I see so many people having trouble doing that, and I normally have difficulty walking and chewing gum at the same time. I can actually manage it though . . . but my conversations are always very short and to the point.
Some people just shouldn't be trying to do it!
