Unbelievable, isn't it?

I wish I could remember where I saw this theory recently--Some pundit was of the opinion that the Republicans are prepared to lose this election, and they'll bide their time for 4 years of Obama--while trying to block everything he wants to get done--and then come back in 2012. That would explain why they put two such totally incompetent candidates up for election this time.

Interesting...that might explain why McCain has so much less money for his campaign than Obama does...they are saving up their money...SHOOT

Hi Matt,

Actually, McCain has a very wealthy wife, but apparently he isn't using much of her money. Obama is taking individual contributions, McCain isn't. Obama is raising lots of money from people like me who give $10-$50 to help get him elected. I never have contributed to a candidate before, but I feel desperate over this election and I want to do anything I can to help Obama beat McCain.

I feel that Obama is our best chance to get our country on the right track after the last eight years.

Hi Agate,

If we're lucky, we'll have a democrat controlled house and senate too. I read a quote by Hillary Clinton that she believes Obama will be in for eight years. I hope he does as good a job as I think he will.

I'm another one who never contributed to a political campaign before but bought an Obama poster. Part of the price went for the campaign.

Obama is definitely inspiring many younger people to take an interest in how this country is run and to believe they can really have a part in it. That is a very hopeful sign, I think, and it will be a shame if all those hopes get squashed by a (probably dishonest?) McCain victory.

I really like it. Thanks for contributing to the Obama campaign. CNN was saying last time around that they predicted a Bush victory because younger voters don't make it to the polls. After the shock associated with him being reelected, those voters will probably try much harder to make it out to vote, this time around. A lot of people are feeling really desperate....it has gotten extremely emotional for many people.

I hope you're right Matt. If the CNN polls are right, Obama will win. He isn't slowing down though because he doesn't want to assume victory and chance letting McCain get ahead near the end.
